Skiing

Selwyn Snowfields are located along a picturesque and comfortable 35 minute drive along the Snowy Mountains Highway from Lake Eucumbene Units (see map below).

Selwyn Snowfields operate a resort covering 45 hectares of groomed slopes. The resort covers elevations between 1492m to 1614m above sea level. All grades of skiing are catered for. Family based and learning slopes are at the front of the valley. The slopes are then graded through intermediate to difficult at the racecourse at the bottom end of the valley. Each year Selwyn has increased the number of snow guns to extend and complement the natural cover.

The mountain complex at Selwyn contains a kiosk, bar and clothing sales. There is a ski and board hire that also hires clothing and associated goods. For further information go to the Selwyn Snowfields website.

For cross country skiing there are 45 km of marked trails in the Selwyn - 3 Mile Dam area. These trails are marked and regularly groomed and maintained during the winter months. However, for experienced cross country skiers there is no limit to the areas to ski.
